Ellysse Mason is a beguiling young artist fast outgrowing her Rochdale roots. Nearly a decade of playing, performing and recording around her hometown has given her a poise and professionalism far beyond her years, talents which are now captivating live audiences all over the country. As she swaps YouTube platforms for better venues and bigger festival stages, she is quickly establishing herself as an act to be reckoned with. Dark, hauntingly beautiful melodies combine with deft guitar playing to create an ethereal, otherworldly sound that has drawn comparisons to everyone from Joni Mitchell to Gabrielle Aplin and Massive Attack.
Her forthcoming EP ‘Hunt Me Down’ is a musical sea change. Bigger, bolder, braver, the EP marks a stunningly assured departure from her folk roots into musical territory that is equal parts cinematic, atmospheric and utterly enchanting. Recorded in her new spiritual home of Manchester, ‘Hunt Me Down’ is a musical powerhouse from a visionary artist only just beginning to find her voice.
This Lancashire native never seems isolated on the stage as his sound is rich, full of passion and flows from the heart. Having opened for bands such as Elbow, The Boxer Rebellion and Blue Rose Code, Joseph is a seasoned songsmith, with a lyrical ear for the everyday.
