Following a very successful first lecture, we are delighted to announce we will be providing a full clinical lecture
series for you all!
Our Clinical Lecture Series is aimed at all clinical medical students (years 3, 4 and 5), but are open to anyone else who wishes to come. It will be delivered by Dr Harry Spiers, an academic foundation trainee at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Harry graduated from medical school with distinction and has extensive teaching experience, successfully running similar revision courses before he came to Manchester. These lectures promise to be a really useful resource for your learning!
The Clinical Lecture Series will take you thorough presentations of different conditions, as well as approaches
and systems to investigate and manage conditions you will come across. The series will also provide that extra
level of detail on top, for those of you hoping to score highly in exams.
Clinical Lecture Series schedule:
1. Thursday 8th November — Respiratory — 1800-1930
2. Wednesday 14th November — Neurology — 1800-1930
*In collaboration with Neuro Soc*

These dates have been chosen to try and accommodate placement locations and travel distances, so we hope you can all make it! The venues for the lectures are TBC, but will be split between Phase II Lecture Theatre at MRI and the Stopford Building.
Dr Spiers will NOT be releasing slides as these are part of a larger national revision course (which you are getting for FREE!), so you need to attend the lectures in person! Students at Preston, please message the ManMedSoc Facebook page to receive access.
We are aiming for a minimum of 30 people per session to ensure worthwhile attendance, so please bring your friends along with you to ensure the lectures go ahead!
We look forward to welcoming you to our first lecture of the series on Thursday 8th November, where Dr Spiers
will go through everything you need to know about Respiratory!
