STOCK Gallery is pleased to announce it will be presenting the work of emerging art collective Motion Sickness from 11th January — 1st February 2019. The Manchester based gallery will be the first to showcase a solo exhibition of Motion Sickness’s work.
Positioning themselves as products of millennial ephemera, Motion Sickness is a collaboration between UK and Germany based artists Denise Kehoe, Eleanor Breeze, and Arabella Hilfiker. Examining the intersections and overlaps of their biographical experience, the collective explore the prolonged adolescence of Generation Y, and the cyclical realities of ghosting, bingeing and unstable employment. Their practice includes works in mediums as disparate as textiles, digital, painting, terracotta and paper mache.
STOCK Gallery is a new project space focused on showcasing artists and collectives who are not so much here and now but a little more here and how?? It gives artists the opportunity to try out and exhibit new work and ideas that will further their practices. Motion Sickness are a new collective who through a idiosyncratic blend of sculpture, painting, video and drawing create narratives that are uniquely irreverent and completely mundane, this makes them a tour de force of, Generation Y? which makes STOCK and Motion Sickness a stellar combo.
